Our First Grape Harvest!
This past weekend was an important milestone for Lake James Cellars
Winery.
We held our first harvest at South Mountains Vineyard in western Burke
County. We harvested Chambourcin grapes that our winemaker, Josh Fowler, plans on turning
into an oak aged red wine and a smaller quantity of blush wine. Stay tuned next year for
the final product. Thanks to all of those that made our first harvest successful.
